SRC Announces Value for Excellence (VforE) Program
Exclusive Benefits Available to BSCOE Designees Reflect Payor and Industry Endorsement

RALEIGH, NC (FEBRUARY 16, 2009) — Surgical Review Corporation (SRC), an independent, non-profit organization that advances the efficacy, efficiency and safety of bariatric and metabolic surgery, today announced the launch of its Value for Excellence (VforE) program.

Through VforE, fully approved Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence® (BSCOE) designees are eligible for special insurance coverage options, including medical procedure complication insurance for cash-pay surgery. Additionally, designees have access to free patient education materials as well as other offerings that help them maintain their BSCOE designation.

"Health plans, professional liability companies, self-pay insurance companies and other industry stakeholders benefit from the excellent patient care provided by our designees," said Jackie Lueck Sneve, Vice President, SRCs Strategic Alliances division. "VforE offers tangible benefits to surgeons and facilities that have met the comprehensive requirements and site inspection for BSCOE designation."
